07/07/2009   My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Glencot House for sadly only a few short hours on Sunday afternoon.
My wife is having to spend some time in Burnham-on-Sea while I remain in Oxford and I chose Glencot House as a place to escape for a few hours. Glencot House is undoubtedly one of the most romantic and quintessentially English places I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The eclectic but thoughtful decor, pictures, and seemingly endless bookshelves provide a balance and sense of home, history and the tranquil culture of the English countryside.
The beautifully furnished rooms could not have offered more comfort and your excellent staff provided a level of service which is all too rare. They did so with courtesy and a friendly smile which conveyed a genuinely warm welcome. The walks we enjoyed around the beautiful grounds, including the lawns, trees, the banks of the fish and plant filled stream and the country cricket pitch were almost perfect in beauty.
We were also grateful for the generous upgrade we were kindly granted. It was much appreciated and I hope we will be staying with you again at some point in the not too distant future.

We enjoyed the frog in the fire place; we enjoyed the excellent cooking and the big catch in the river with Sid.

05/05/2009   A very enjoyable stay, very different, like no other experience in the hotels! After a life time of searching for unique hotels - we've found one like no other - one of the best! Forget the boring boutique hotels; this is the path all others should follow - quite amusing! Fantastic atmosphere and delicious food - we'll be back!!!

Thank you for making my birthday party the best I have ever had. Glencot House was a great venue and it made me smile to see all me friend's faces when they walked through the door!!! the food was fantastic (but sorry we didn't eat all of it. ) Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and I will definitely be coming back soon!

15/08/2008   We have had a really memorable stay and love the fact there is so much to take in. In particular the pigs in the front! The singing stag in reception. I must add that Ben made it extra special, he was so much fun and really helped it make our stay as fun for us and the children as possible. Many t
