Christmas Eve – Thursday 24th December 2009
Chandeliers and Candles glimmer everywhere a suit of armour glints in the shadows. A fire flickers in the huge inglenook, Welcome to Miller’s at Glencot House for our festive celebrations. Arrive throughout the afternoon, then relax and enjoy afternoon tea and home made cakes served by the fire. Join us for a relaxed Champagne reception in the drawing room. Prior to our Christmas Eve feast, served throughout the evening. After dinner, unwind with drinks from our well stocked bar.
Any guests who would like to attend midnight mass at Wells Cathedral will be transferred and picked up and returned in front of a cosy fire to enjoy a hot toddy of spicy Miller’s mulled wine.

Christmas Day – Friday 25th December 2009
Wake up to a Full Continental breakfast available from 8.00am until 10.00am. (Saving enough room for the later festivities). For the Wells Cathedral Christmas service, transportation is available from the Hotel, or alternatively you may wish to stay and enjoy a bracing Christmas morning stroll, wandering the delightful paths along the rivers edge and discovering secret seats and follies within the Hotels beautiful gardens.

Miller’s traditional Festive luncheon will be served and later a seasonal visit from Father Christmas himself, to bestow all with Christmas tree gifts. You may perhaps be treated to a rendition of a Christmas tune or two from our own singing reindeer called Buck.
Please feel free to unwind in our drawing room to enjoy a good Christmas read from our towering piles of books or perhaps an afternoon game of scrabble or chess. The Snooker Room is always open for a bit of healthy Christmas competition, or watch your own private viewing of “It’s a Wonderful life “in our “MINIMAR”.
A bit of fresh air might be needed at this point, prior to the evening’s indulgence, from our celebration cold buffet supper and music, from 8.30pm.

Boxing Day – Saturday 26th December 2009
An informal Boxing Day brunch will be available from 10.00am until 12 noon.
Any outside activities for Boxing Day can be arranged by our front of house team. (Please check out our web site for Active Mendip fantastic outdoor pursuits.)  We can inform you of the wealth of interesting destinations nearby. Bath is under an hour away, a fantastic Boxing Day out, or maybe you may wish to enjoy the dramatic sights of Cheddar or Ebbor gorge, whatever your choice, we will be delighted to make any arrangements for you. 

Join us for a Miller’s seasonal cocktail before a Gourmet supper from our head chef, Laurent Cortois.

A “goodbye breakfast” will be available from 8.am until 10.00am, to send you on your way.

Breaks are available for three nights based on two people sharing, from 24th December 2009.  Children and single occupancy rates available on request.

Terms & Booking Conditions;

Any additional services for your party will be charged as a separate fee.  We are happy to assist with outside activities with regards to booking arrangements, fees will be payable to the respective companies directly.  We require a 50% non refundable deposit, to secure your reservation and the full balance payable by 1st December 2009.  We reserve the right to change the programme without notice. Extra night’s accommodation can be added on, before and after Christmas at a special dinner, bed and breakfast rate. (Subject to availability).  We highly recommend that you take travel insurance to safeguard against any unavoidable cancellations.
